Obituary

Christopher Moore Obituary Christopher Joel Moore was born in Northern California, on May 28, 1960, and grew up Arcadia, California. He lived in Southern California for most of his life until he moved to Nampa, Idaho in 2018. He loved the Lord deeply and he loved music. You name an instrument and he would figure out how to play it. Chris was a drummer at heart and also played the bass guitar in several bands over the years. For many years, he played in the worship band at church. Every time he would serve somewhere in the church, a beloved church member would say he was getting another jewel in his crown in heaven. He served so often she eventually said he would need a wagon for all his jewels. A wagon he now gets to pull. He was a devoted husband and father who would do anything for his family. While he worked hard, he always tried his best to be there for the important moments in life. Chris built a beautiful life for his family full of wonderful memories of family trips and silly faces. He loved jokes and sarcasm and he taught his family to do the same. If he was with us all now he would definitely be cracking some joke and tell us a million reasons not to be sad. Chris was extremely resourceful and a great provider. He had many careers over the years including: management for several companies, bus driver (many companies), truck driver and several others. If something was broken around the house, he would figure out a way to fix it. He knew just enough about anything to figure things out and if he didnt he would teach himself. He loved watching trivia shows where he would showcase just how widespread his knowledge was. He loved finding a good deal, whether it was at the swap meet or Walmart, he was on the hunt for a sale. This was a characteristic he passed onto his family too. After holidays he would love hunting in the clearance sections for the next years decorations or seasonal M&Ms. Tastes the same as regular ones he would say. And of course...hes not wrong :) Chris was a true collector and treasure hunter. He had a passion for collecting diecast, specifically Hot Wheels for 40+ years; Star Wars toys, and various others. He was highly respected in the field. Over the past 15+ years he took up the metal detecting and he was a natural. Our annual vacation to Laguna Shores gave him the opportunity for both early morning and late night "huntings" - just another type of hunting for him which brought him joy. He met so many special life-long friends through both of these hobbies. Christopher Joel Moore passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2025. He had been in the hospital due to a-fib of his heart and had finally gotten his heart in rhythm and was all clear to go home. He was waiting to be discharged and during his last walk a blood clot dislodged and caused a pulmonary embolism. They were unable to revive him. Our lives have been changed forever. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, his brother Eric, his children: Krista, Mandy, Jessica and Matt, as well as his three grandchildren: Joel, Paisley and Hannah. Chris cared so deeply for the people around him. His kindness, sincere warmth, and generosity made an impact on so many lives. Chris will be forever missed! We loved him; but God loved him more. Until we meet again. Services Celebration of Life Saturday March 1, 2025 4:00 PM Nampa Funeral Home 415 12th Ave. So. Nampa, Idaho 83651
