Died: December 28th, 2024 in Caldwell, ID
Predeceased by her parents, brother Dick, husband Elmer, and son Timmy.

Grandma Cindie was born to Gilbert and Zura Walton in Seattle, Washington. She was Christened Myrtle Delcine Walton, though from a rather young age insisted on being called "Cindie' and in later years changed her name officially.
Cindie attended Garfield High School in Seattle, graduating in 1951.
In the 1940s, Gilbert and Zura frequently hosted teens from throughout the Northwest who were receiving treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital, mostly for polio. Elmer John Green was one of those teen patients.
Elmer and Cindie were married in Seattle on June 13, 1953.
Cindie was famously blessed in her pregnancies. She and Elmer had five children between 1954 and 1962:
Johnny Bert, born June 22,1954
Terry Micheal, born February 22,1956
Timmy, 1957 1960, passed away at 2.5 years old from leukemia
Lorraine Marie, born September 20, 1959
Toby Lynn, born January 30, 1961
The Green Family moved to Cle Elum in 59, Richland in 63, Vancouver in64 then Fairbanks, Alaska, in 69. Terry still lives in Fairbanks, though the rest of the family gradually moved south.
In 1979 their last child left home. Having now wrapped up her time raising kids, Cindie switched to training dogs! She found much joy and comfort in her furry companions for many decades.
Elmer and Cindie moved to Idaho in 87, joining their youngest son, Toby, who had come to Caldwell, Idaho, for college.
Elmer passed away in 98 from complications related to heart surgery.
In 2004, Cindie moved to Silverdale, Washington, where her eldest son, Johnny, and his family had prepared a special cottage on their property for her. In 2011, Cindie moved back to Idaho when Johnny and his wife, Kathy, also relocated to the Boise area.
Cindie loved music and often served as the church pianist/organist and in the choir. Once the children were in school, Cindie worked as a secretary or accountant/bookkeeper. While living in Idaho, she worked as the church secretary at Nampa First Baptist Church.
In 2020, Cindie opted to move to an assisted living facility. Circumstances forced a change in facility in mid 2023, and then again in late 2023. These moves were very hard on Cindie, and she declined steadily throughout 2024, finally passing away peacefully in her sleep in the evening of December 28th, 2024. Many family and close friends had come to visit frequently during her final days.
Cindie has left a tangible legacy to comfort and inspire her family and friends in the form of her fine cross stitch and crochet work. Cindie spent many years working on elaborate cross stitch angels, telling each grandchild they could choose one to have as their own when they graduated from college and when they got married. Eventually Cindie switched to crochet, making afghans, hats, and lap blankets for family, friends, and hospitals.
"Cindie was the heart of our family. She never sent anyone away. When we would bring a carload of kids home and raid the fridge, and she never complained; she always made them feel welcome. She had a deep love for Jesus and shared that love with us."
