Claudine Soza Obituary CLAUDINE SOZA A moment in time. A lifetime of loving, caring and giving this was the life of Claudine Soza. Claudine Soza (94), of Nampa Idaho, passed away peacefully in her home, on February 4th, surrounded by her children, who loved her. Claudine was the fifth daughter of twelve children born to Teodoro and Ana Saiz on July 17, 1929 in Anton Chico, New Mexico and grew up in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She came from humble beginnings during the depression, but had a happy childhood. Claudine took courses to become an X-Ray technician, and then moved to California with her best friend Mary Jaramillio in 1958 to look for work. She began her career as an X-Ray technician at San Pedro community hospital. Though the hours were long and difficult at times, she loved her work. Claudine met her husband-to-be on a double date with her best friend. She wed Ben Soza on June 25th, 1960. They made a good life together, raising their three children, Ben, Anna Marie and Claudette. They lived in San Pedro from 1961-1979, when her husband retired after a long career as a plumber. They moved to Caldwell, Idaho in 1979 and lived on Chicken Dinner Road until they decided to move to El Paso, Texas in order to be close to her family. After the death of her husband, she returned to Nampa. The two things that mattered most to Claudine were her Catholic faith and her family. The birth of her three grandchildren; Amanda, Andrew and Alexis and then the birth of her two great-grandchildren, Lou and Nadia, as well as the added gift of her step-great grandchild, Mia; all gave her tremendous joy. Any time she spent with them was a cherished moment. Claudine was preceded in death by her parents, Teodoro and Ana, her husband Ben, and all her siblings. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Claudines passing has left us with heavy hearts, but also great joy, knowing she is reunited with those who have passed before and with her Lord and Savior.
