Clovia D. McLeod went to sleep in her home and awoke February 6th, 2013 in the arms of the Angels. Clovias dedication to her family, dear friends and community will be long be remembered. Her distinctive smile, laugh and compassion will live long in the memories of those who loved her so dearly.
Born to Glenn and Dorothy Shaw on February 7th, 1954 in Boise, Idaho Clovia moved with her family to Bowmont, Idaho when she was 6 years old. Clovias family ran a small store in Bowmont and Clovia and her siblings told many stories of attending the Church in Bowmont, helping in the store, catching gopher tails to pay for a family vacation to Disneyland, and attending church camp in New Meadows first with her parents, then as a camper, then finally taking over the craft program from her mother.
Clovia graduated from Kuna High School, went on to attend Boise State University where she married the love of her life, Robert McLeod in the chapel on BSU campus next to Bronco Stadium. Clovia loved her Broncos and no fan cheered louder during a football game or during a sporting event for the Melba Mustangs.
Clovia faithfully served her community serving in the Womens Auxiliary at Mercy Medical Center, volunteering in numerous roles in the Melba school district including heading up the Booster Club for many years and running the concession booth for sporting events. She also served on Nampa Election boards for many years and the Melba Easter Egg Hunt would not have existed if not for her dedication.
Clovia is survived by her husband Robert McLeod of Bowmont and her son Ryan McLeod of Nampa. She is also survived by a sister Glenda (Curtis) Clinton, sister Gloria (Bill) Klinger, brother Virgil (Pam) Shaw, Brother Jerry (Debra) Read, and sister Sandy (Steve) Hansen numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She also shared her generous heart with dear friends who will miss her forever until their eventual reunion in Heaven.
Clovia was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Dorothy Shaw.
