Cynthia Loebach Obituary Cynthia "Cindy" Long Loebach, formerly Cindy Welch, died of cancer on July 26, 2022, in Nampa, Idaho. She was at home and surrounded by family when she passed. Cindy was born October 30, 1948, in Algona, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University and enjoyed a long career as a Medical Technologist. She married Bob Welch in 1971 and they raised two children, Matthew, and Elizabeth, before divorcing in 1991. Cindy maintained lifelong ties with her hometown, moving back to Algona in 1994. While attending a high school reunion, she reconnected with classmate Dave Loebach, and they began dating40 years after she first asked him out to the Snowball Dance. The two married in 2005 and Cindy happily lived the rest of her days with him in Nampa, Idaho, becoming stepmother to Sharon and David. Cindy was fun-loving, strong-willed, and a fierce competitor at Scrabble, pinochle, and euchre. She had a big heart, a sharp sense of humor, and loved a good pun. She was preceded in death by brother, David. She is survived by her husband Dave; children Matthew and Elizabeth; stepchildren Sharon and David; grandchildren Abby, Zach, Alex, and Alice, Caitlin, Zane, Sean, Grace, and Emma; and her brother Roger. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel. A private family interment will be held in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise.
