David Paul Jones, 71 of Nampa, Idaho was born Jan. 17, 1942 and passed away at home on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 with his family at his side.
David is survived by his wife, Ramona; son Jeff; daughter Jennifer; and 3 Grandsons Alec, Kyle and Cooper; his niece Linda Jones Ford and nephews Brian Jones Dague and Dana Jones Dague and many other nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him greatly.
David served our country in Vietnam and after coming back home to Idaho he worked at The Idaho Press Tribune as the pressroom foreman and retired after 30 years of service. After his retirement he invented a rewinder that recycled the ends of the newspaper rolls that were normally thrown away. David enjoyed participating in car shows where he received many awards for his vintage 32 Ford. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA.
A viewing and visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. followed by a Celebration of his life at 6:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So., Nampa. A burial service will be held with military honors in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise on Tuesday at 3:00 P.M. An online guest book may be signed at www.nampafuneralhome.com
