Delbert Moore Obituary And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said "I need a caretaker, so God made a farmer (Paul Harvey) Delbert was born in Nampa Idaho on March 20, 1946, to Homer (Art) and Velma Moore where he joined his sister Joann. He graduated from Nampa High School in 1964 and married Beth Waite and from that marriage, they welcomed two daughters, Debra and Sharon. Delbert farmed his whole life starting with a 40-acre parcel on Lonestar road that he bought at age 16. He later bought his parents farm of 127 acres and farmed leased land all over the valley as far away as Murphy. He was instrumental in taking ground in the dry lake area out of sagebrush and getting it under irrigation. He also was involved in the building of Centennial golf course contributing time and equipment to the process. He retired from farming in 1999 after some health scares and became an avid golfer. He loved going to Jackpot with friends for a little gambling. In 2001 he met his current wife Darlene Ziemer on a blind date, and they were married a year later. She brought two sons to the marriage, Cody and Brandon. Delbert and Darlene spent many years in a second home in Mesquite Nevada where he golfed and gambled to his hearts content. They made a lot of wonderful friends there. In the early years, they went on several memorable trips including Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada and 30 days driving cross country to the east coast and back covering 31 states in 30 days. Delberts health began declining for many years and he grew tired. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Moore; his sister, Joann (Leo) Thibault; his daughters, Debra (Doug) Ward and Sharon Moore; his Stepsons, Cody (Sarah) Ziemer and Brandon (Kallie) Ziemer; Granddaughters Christina Magill and Lauren (Hunter) Kopf; Grandson, Braydon Torres-Moore and great grandsons, Jackson Magill and Colton Kopf. He has five step grandchildren, Bentley, Ellie, Roxie, Charlee and Evan Ziemer and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 5th at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Nampa Elks Lodge in Nampa. In lieu of flowers. plant a tree in his name and go make memories with your loved ones.
