Dennis Goodman Obituary Dennis Irving Goodman, April 21, 1941 to April 17, 2021. Dennis Goodman passed away in the home he loved in Nampa surrounded by the family that adored him. When envisioning heaven, he was comforted that he would be with the "Good Lord." Dennis inspired many with the spirted way he chose to live his life. He was a stubborn, hardworking- family man. As the patriarch of the Goodman family, he was never afraid to share his opinion. Dennis was born in Nampa Idaho in 1941. Dennis loved to be surrounded by family and friends. He cheered life and others with a Canadian Whiskey and water in his hands. His personality was larger than life and was often the life of the party. He was affectionately referred to as "Goody," "Uncle D," "Grandpa," and "Papa" to many. He was proceeded in death by his parents Chester John Goodman & Carol Foster; his siblings Gloria May Goodman & Chester John Goodman; his in-laws from his first marriage; Howard & Norma Grotts; his good friends Pat Berk, Chris Hansen, Louie Quadrato. He is survived by the love of his life, Kathy Goodman. Child: Mike (Hope) Goodman. Estranged children: Joyce and Clifford Goodman. Grandchildren: Cheyenne & John Goodman. Sibling: Myrna Smith. Nephews and Nieces: Kevin (Kim) Goodman, Amanda (Casey, Bailee, Camdon) Clancy, Josh (Angel and AaLeeya) Goodman, John Goodman, Jamie (Michael, Shaealee, James, Taylor) Hart, and Amanda (Casey, Bailee, Camdon) Clancy, Nathan (Lulu and Gigi) Goodman, Beau Downs, Jeff (Honey, Toni, Chester) Goodman, Dean (Bunny, Blaine) Goodnight, Brian (Stacy, Braxton, Boden) Goodnight. Sister-in-law: Judy (Dallas) Amos. And JWs girlfriend Bailey Grant. Dennis lived a full life. He frequently shared stories about riding motorcycles with Uncle Paul, Wendell and Glen Gross. He served in the Navy from 1961 to 1965. He was blessed that he did not die because a plane he was supposed to be on went down and others died. He was Journeyman autobody technician and became the manager of Val Strough Chevrolet & Antioch Autobody in Oakland California. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, and wood working. He made woodwork for almost everyone that he loved. Special thanks to Tiffany, Dave U, Roger and Cassidy from Treasure Valley Hospice because they made it possible for him to die in the home in the home in which he loved.
