Dennis Calvin Palmer was born at Nampa, Idaho on January 29, 1940, and entered into rest at his home in Melba, Idaho on November 3. 2013.
He attended Melba schools. After working for Fleetwood Manufacturing he joined the Navy in 1962 serving on the U.S.S Ticonderoga Aircraft Carrier during the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge 1966. After his discharge he worked in farming and for a plumbing company until returning to Fleetwood Manufacturing in 1967 where he was a supervisor; then he began driving truck delivering mobile homes.
On April 13, 1968 he married Caroleta ONeal in Nampa, Idaho. One son, Calvin James was born August 12, 1971.
Dennis enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, and camping with his best friend Calvin.
Dennis and Caroleta moved to the family home in Melba, Idaho in 1993. Dennis spent the rest of his career as an owner operator delivering mobile homes throughout the Northwest.
Surviving members of the family are his wife, Caroleta; sister Claudia (Larry) Moore, Nampa; brother Barry (Marisela) Palmer of Meridian; sisters-in- law, Leona (Ted) Neef and Bonnie (Don) Williams; many nieces and nephews; and many cousins (Hoagland and Allred families).
His son Calvin, parents Don and Veda Palmer, sister Donna Searles all preceded him in death.
A viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at the Melba Cemetery followed by a memorial celebration of his life at 1:00 P.M.
