Devera Leona Delaney, 69, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on September 6, 2014, after a beautiful, rich, joyful life that was cut short by cancer. The funeral will be held on September 23, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Pauls Catholic Church in Nampa, Idaho. A reception dinner will follow at Saint Pauls Dempsey Hall. Devera was born October 3, 1944, in Richardton, North Dakota, to Joseph and Blanch Kohm (Fritz). She lived her early years in Richardton, ND and Williston, ND where she attended Saint Josephs Catholic School and Graduated from Williston Senior High School . On December 17, 1977, she married Thomas (Tom) Henry Delaney in Williston, North Dakota.
Devera and Tom made their home in Williston, North Dakota, until they moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1988. Devera loved the Lord above all, her passions and hobbies also included reading, praying, gardening, cooking, walking, riding her three wheel bike and the joy of hunting for treasures at garage sales and being with family. Devera worked at Mercy Hospital in Nampa (Now St. Alphonsus Medical Center) for over 24 years. Devera made lifelong relationships with many of her colleagues by demonstrating a dedication to hard work and striving for unparalleled service to the community. Much like her Love and dedication to the Lord, Devera was always kind and dedicated to her employees, the hospital and her community. She bestowed her kindness to all that came in contact with her from all walks of life; we were all blessed to have Devera in our lives.
Devera is survived by husband Tom Delaney, brother Jerome Kohm and wife Marge of Plaines, Montana; sisters, Wanda Olsen of Fargo, ND and Charlene Ecklund and husband Cal of Great Falls, MT.; sons Randal(Randy) Rosier and wife Racel Rosier of San Hose, CA, Lonnie Rosier and wife Laura Rosier of Columbia, SC,; daughters Tamara (Tami) Mueller of Nampa, Idaho, Michael (Micki) Delaney of Everett, WA., ; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Jessie) Mueller, Jeffrey (Jeff) Mueller, Kriselle (Kris) Rosier, Hailey Rosier, Gabriella (Gabby) Rosier, Caedmon Rosier and Walker Rosier and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all.
The family would like to thank St. Alphonsus Hospital for their loving care and dignity they provided Devera. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The St. Alphonsus's Meals on Wheels in Nampa, Idaho in Deveras name.
