Diane Larie Hinton, 68, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Diane was born December 13, 1945 in Payette, Idaho to parents Ralph and Evelyn Dykema where she grew up on a small farm. She graduated from New Plymouth High School.
Diane worked at Woodgrain Molding, Zion Lutheran School as a cook, and for Hehr International. However, Diane was best known for blessing local residents with her amazing birthday, wedding, graduation, and celebratory cakes.
Diane is survived by her mom, Evelyn Dykema of New Plymouth, as well as her siblings Sharon Feakes of Long Beach, WA, Coralee Nelson of Ontario, OR, Dan Dykema of New Plymouth, ID, and Lisa Tate of Long Beach, WA. Diane is also survived by her children, Julie Godfrey and her husband Greg of Mountain Home, ID and their daughter Anastasia, Ruth Lynette Roark of Payette, ID and her daughters, Christina and Amanda, Lance and Christy Hinton of Nampa, ID and their children Bryan and Alice, and Ryan and Kayla Hinton of Nampa, ID and their boys, Archer and Oliver. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Edgar and Cora Daddow, and Harry and Jantina Dykema, her dad, Ralph Dykema, and her son, Jeremy Lane Hinton.
A reception to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 3-5 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave S, Nampa, ID 83651. A graveside burial service will be held in the Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth, ID at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 19, 2014. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
