Don

It is with great sadness we announce the date of the passing of our son Don Middleton into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on 4/26/2026. Don was born 5/22/1968 at Mercy Hospital in Nampa, ID.

Don attended schools at Lincoln Elementary, Nampa, ID, Nampa Christian, South Jr. High, Nampa, ID., Kuna High, Kuna, ID and Capital High, Boise, ID. Don quit school his senior year but later completed HS GED with Lewis and Clark College.

Don was an awesome artist, drawing, and loved to sing and play his guitar. He was involved with various sports as a child and teenager. Don played basketball, baseball, wrestling for Nampa Christian, South Jr. High and Kuna High. Don and his sister, Michelle competed in speed skating for the Nampa Rollerdrome. In Don's adult years he enjoyed watching NASCAR and UFC fighting and riding motorcycles with his father, Robert Middleton. Don's dad was an awesome pool player and motorcycle rider, Don wanted to be just like his dad, and he taught himself how to play pool at age 5 and learned to ride motorcycles at the age of 10 years. During the early 1985 Summer living in Kuna, ID. Don coached wrestling for 5-year-olds. that late Summer 1985 the family moved to Garden City, ID, where Don attended Capital High in the Fall of 1985.

Don attended Calvary Baptist Church in Nampa as a child and teenager. Praise the LORD Don was able to kick bad habits with the help of his LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

Don's love for riding motorcycles increased as he purchased his first Harley Davidson. One Mother’s Day, Don was hit by a drunk driver, which caused severe damage to his left foot and ankle. Don struggled for over 20 years trying to save that foot and ankle, but he developed a cancerous tumor in his foot, and his physician had to amputate his left leg. Don never recovered from the amputation, after that he never left his bed. Due to the gaining of over 100 pounds, he developed diabetes, congestive heart failure, sleep apnea and COPD, all contributed to his death. Don's son Gage Middleton found him and called 911. Gage is disabled as well, but he stepped up and called 911 as Don had constantly instructed him to so if he could not wake his dad, we are proud of Gage, he is our hero.

Don was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Don and Dorothy Middleton, maternal grandparents, Charles Mitchell and Lillian Mitchell, Conrad, Giambo. Uncles: John and Frank Middleton, Charlie Mitchell, Richard Conrad, Monte Giambo and John Callaway. Aunts: Cheryl Callaway and Lucille Conrad, Cousins: John and Kevin Flores, Chelsea and Kevin Cayford and Johnny Rhodes.

Survivors: Don's son Gage Middleton, sister, Michelle Middleton Gallegos (Chris), parents, Robert and Judy Middleton, aunts: Roberta (Leroy) McMillin, Sandi (Bill)Cayford, Pat Middleton Hodge. Uncle: Robert Conrad, niece: Christine (Mason) Peace. Nephews: Andrew, Darrion and Shannon Gallegos, Ryland Peace. Cousins: William, Levi, Elijah, Alex Conrad, Ryan Flores, Kim Middleton, Bob (Kim)Ellis, Becky Middleton (Corey)Henderson, Joshua Quimby, Andrea (Mark) Braun. Friends: Louise Frickey (aka Dude), a very dear friend, she cared for Don and his sister when they were little, while mom worked. Louise was an awesome caregiver, she was like a second mom, Don loved her very much and so do we. We will forever be grateful for her love and friendship. Boo O'Kelly was Don's home health caregiver; she became a dear friend. Then there is a longtime friend, Michelle Cantergiani Lewis, who Don loved very much.

Going home services will be Saturday August 29, 2026 at 1:00 P.M., located at 1604 Garrity Blvd. Suite 101, Nampa, ID. Service will be officiated by Pastor Randy Reams.
