Donna Wood Obituary On Monday, December 5, 2022, Donna June Wood, passed away at age eighty-three. Donna is survived by six children, thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Esther Hoagland and her husband, L.W. Chub Wood as well as her sister, Betty Wilson-Griggs. Her sister, Verna Lea Robinson, lives in Boise, Idaho. Her family started from humble beginnings in rural Idaho and grew to add many family, friends and community members that were exposed to the respect, love and generosity Donna demonstrated with her time, her wisdom and her desire to see everyone had the chance to succeed or got a second (maybe even third) chance. Donna loved her work life as much as her family. She worked from the time her children were young and displayed a strong ethic to do her best whether at an auto parts store or working decades to retire from the State of Idaho, department of law enforcement. Donna kept and presented crime statistics for the state and enjoyed the work as being serious and helpful to her community. After retirement, Donna and Chub had some time to travel, play golf and host family holidays while enjoying their growing family. After Chubs passing, she was able to continue to forge relationships and support her family at events in sports, arts, motorcycles and even magic as her grandchildren had diverse talents and interests. Over the last year, she was cared for by family and the wonderful people at Family Life Memory Care in Nampa, ID and Bluebird Hospice that made dealing with her disease a supported and valuable period. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Street South, Nampa, Idaho 83651. A viewing will be available at10 a.m. and a short, family graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on Indiana Ave in Caldwell, Idaho (off Hwy 55).
