Dorine Margaret (Pierce) Bowles was taken home in the loving arms of our Lord on January 27, 2017. Dorine was born on October 18, 1931 to Isabel and Orin Pierce in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from high school in Los Angeles where she met her soul mate Jesse Bowles. They married on September 1, 1950 and they welcomed a son Orin L. Bowles and a daughter Judy L. (Bowles) Kraus. They made their home in Whittier, California until 1967 when Jess transferred with the Union Pacific Railroad to Nampa where they made their forever home. Her children remember her as a fun loving mom who loved her grandchildren and encouraged all their dreams. Dorine was a homemaker who loved to go to their cabin in Cascade and spend time with family and friends. She loved taking the grandchildren on nature walks spending quality time in the outdoors; she was a very supportive person who loved good times. Mom loved ceramics and won many first place ribbons. She always had a smile and had a hug for all. She loved answering with rhymes to make you laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mom was a great lady and a wonderful example to follow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse D. Bowles; parents Isabel and Orin Pierce; stepfather Carl McAlpine; and a brother Roy Pierce. She is survived by her children Orin Bowles and Judy and Jack Kraus; grandchildren, Nikki (Steve), Jim (Michelle), Chris, Brandi (Chad), Kayla and Lacy (Gary); seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. A funeral service is being held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So., Nampa. A burial will follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. A reception will follow at Karcher Estates where all are welcome to attend and celebrate Dorines life from 1 to 3 PM.
