Doris E. Lewis, 94, of Nampa, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.

Doris was born on March 19, 1916 in Buckley, Washington to James and Minnie King. She was raised and educated in Washington. She married Bert Francis and two children were born to this marriage. She worked as a file clerk at McCord Air Field Base and Mt. Ranier Depot for the Military Police.

She married Virgil W. Lewis. They moved to Washington D.C. and she began a career as an executive secretary in the Pentagon for the U.S. Military Intelligence. She retired in the late 1960s. She moved to Idaho in the early 1990s to be near family. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Bert and Virgil and a grandson, Brett Lee Ekard.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Wakelam of Nampa; a son, Herbert W. (Elise) Francis of Houma, LA; three grandchildren, Tyler, John and David; and two great grandchildren, T.J. and Randi Lynn.
