Doris Nadine Proesch, age 83, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her home in Melba, Idaho with her loving husband of 26 years, Robert Proesch, by her side.

Doris was born July 16, 1932 in Baggs, Wyoming to Miles Franklin Cogdill and Martha Leona Butler. She graduated from Melba High School in 1950 and then moved to work in Richland, Washington where she met her first husband Rollen Lavern Jones. Doris and Rollen married on October 4, 1953 in Tacoma, Washington. They went on to raise a family of five in Longview, Washington and were married for 33 years until Rollen passed away in 1987.

Doris met Robert Proesch of Melba, Idaho and moved back to Melba in 1989. Doris and Robert traveled extensively over the years, including trips to Panama, Chile and the U.K. as well as several trips throughout the U.S., including frequent drives to Yellowstone National Park to see the wild buffalo herds that Doris so admired.

Doris is survived by her husband, Robert Proesch; her three children, Cindy (Todd) Willis, Rollen (Sandy) Jones and Kellie Jones; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sisters, Laura Pancheri and Ilene (Terry) Sandifer; and many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Rollen Lavern Jones; her son-in-law, Michael Rowton; and her brother John Cogdill.

A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. S., Nampa, ID 83651. Burial will follow at Melba Cemetery. Afterwards, the family looks forward to greeting friends at the Senior Center in Melba. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Melba Senior Center.
