Dortha A. Miller of Nampa, Idaho left peacefully for a better place on Monday February 27th 2017, just 2 weeks before her 99th birthday. A service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th. Ave. So. 442-8171 on Saturday March, 4th 2017 at 2 PM. There will be a time of visitation at the Nampa Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 - 1:45 PM. A private burial will be on Monday, 6, 2017 at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com Dortha was born Dortha Angeline Ince in Wishart Mo. on March 13, 1918 the daughter of Fred A. and Minnie Irene Ince. She finished the Eighth grade in school. Dortha moved with the family, parents Fred and Irene, and siblings Maxine, Joe, Kenny, Bernie, and Anna Mae, in 1936, traveling in a 1929 Chevrolet, to a small town, Cozy Basin, in the Marsing area. Dortha married Chester A. Miller on November 26, 1938 in Caldwell Idaho and they had one daughter Shirley Fae Miller born September 6th 1943. Dortha and Chester later moved to Emmett for 9 years finally settling in Nampa. Dortha and Chester purchased a Nampa home in 1955 and she resided there until her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester, Father Fred, mother Irene, daughter Shirley Farrar, and siblings Kenny, Bernie, Joe, Anna Mae (Ginger). She is survived by a sister Maxine Borchert, grandson Rodney Farrar, son in law Gary Farrar, and several nieces and nephews. Dortha worked at Birds Eye, which was close enough that she walked to work, Bakers Flower Shop which was her most favorite job, and she did Ironing in her home for a few special people. A memorial contribution to Pet Haven Humane Society, 333 Orchard Ave., Nampa, Idaho 83651, in her name, would please Dortha very much. Her love for cats was known quite well by all.
