Obituary

Drew Harvey Dougherty, 57, of Nampa peacefully passed away July 5, 2013 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Nampa. He had waited to have all of his loved one's at his bedside before he said goodbye. Drew was born October 31, 1955 in Trenton, New Jersey to Arlyne Cooperstein (of Trenton) and Richard Francis Dougherty (of Trenton). Drew grew up in Pennsylvania with his sisters Roni and Cheryl. He was such an outgoing child, with a free spirit who just lived life to the absolute fullest. He enjoyed the summer stays in the lake house and hunting outdoors. As he got older they moved to Southern California where he was a well known hairdresser and became quite the animal lover. From there he met his soul mate Tammy Lopez (of Nampa) and her 4 daughters. They then moved to Idaho and got married at the courthouse in Caldwell on February 6, 1992 and from there had 2 more children. They were happily married for 21 years and loved each other unconditionally. Some of his hobbies included deep sea fishing, camping in cascade at the family cabin, and being outdoors. He had such a strong passion for dancing and all kinds of music. Drew was one of the most selfless people ever and always made sure everyone was taken care of. He had the most amazing personality and always thought he was 10ft tall. Some of his good friends were Chris Bodgen, Anthony Reyna, Gary Ferria, and Fred Nagle; who were always a phone call away and always by his side no matter what. He is survived by his wife Tammy Dougherty; mother Arlyne Caden; mother in law Donna Lopez; sister Roni Berest and brother in law Doug Berest; sister Cheryl Dougherty and sister in law Judy; Grandmother Doris Haynes; daughters Brooke Robbins, Shayna Gingrich, Lauren Hellickson, Madison Gingrich, and Dana Dougherty; only son Sean Dougherty; Son in laws Devan, Jason, Patrick, Tyler, and Josh; Daughter in law, Ariana; Nine grandchildren Alexis, Cameron, Ethan, Makenzie, Avery, Blake, Addison, Bentley, and Lill;. Also, mans best friend, Satin. He is preceded in death by his father Richard Dougherty, father in law William Lopez, Grandpa Chester Haynes, stepfather, and grandparents. Special thanks go to Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and Dr. Scott Pierson's office. A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 13th, at Lions Park in Nampa from 4-9:30 pm.
