Eileen Lois Tjelta, age 82, of Nampa, passed away at home on the morning of May 6, 2017. She was born to Edgar and Camilla Hollerud in St Croix County, Wisconsin on December 7, 1934. She attended Beaver Valley Elementary School in St. Croix Co., Wisconsin, graduated from Glenwood City High School, Glenwood City, Wisconsin and spent several years working in Minneapolis, Minnesota before attending Wisconsin State University in River Falls where she met and married Harold Tjelta on August 18, 1967. When Harold entered the ministry, Eileen created a home for their family where ever they lived, whether in Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Fullerton, California; or Nampa, Idaho. Eileen will be remembered for her faithful prayer, hospitality, fantastic meals, and love of music and games. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and brother. She is survived by her sisters, her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Lutheran Brethren Church of Nampa, 730 W. Roosevelt Ave, Nampa, ID. She will be interred at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery in Boise, Idaho on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
