Eleanor Marie Gremling, 87, of Nampa, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at a Nampa care facility. Eleanor was born on May 2, 1924 in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Cristina and Anton Miller. She was raised and educated in Mansfield. She married Robert Gremling on February 6, 1943 in Mansfield. She raised 10 children and her main interest in life was spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing cards and board games. The last year of her life was spent at Streamside Assisted Living where she joined their community and enjoyed the many activities.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Bob and Mary Lou Gremling of New York, Pat and Tom Ashby of Nampa, Dave and Marlise Gremling of California, Sandy and Richard Rausch of Marsing, ID, Dee Gremling of Oregon, Mary and Pat Bryant of Nampa, Debbie and John Provenzano of California, Nancy and John Harvey of Nampa, ID, Phil and Sharon Gremling of Boise and Pam and Mark Mason of Nampa, ID; 32 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gremling; parents, Cristina and Anton Miller; son Tom Gremling; sons in law, Gene Zappa and Bill Rush; grandson Jeff Gremling; and brothers, Benny, Pete and Anton.
Our Mom was a very loving and caring person and adored by all. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 11, 2011 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
