Elizabeth Frances Idom, 88, of Nampa, died Friday, April 1, 2011 at a Nampa care facility. She was born on April 17, 1922 in Boise, Idaho to Wesley and Margaret McNulty Croy. She was raised in the Treasure Valley and the family moved to Nampa in 1933 where she graduated from Nampa High School in 1941. She married Curtis L. Idom on April 2, 1945 at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Nampa. They made their home in Nampa where Frances worked for Mountain Bell as an phone operator for many years and then for Birdseye for 18 years until they closed. She also worked as a mother for their daughter, Mary Ann.

Frances was a member of the Garden Club in Nampa for over 50 years. She was also a very active member of St. Pauls Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Womens Association and served Communion to the sick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis on August 9, 1994 and two brothers, Leonard and John Croy.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Lenz of Charleston, WV; two brothers, Harold and Louise Croy of Nampa and Robert and Darlene Croy of St. George, UT; two grandchildren, Reid and Carolyn Becker of Lexington, KY and JoEllen and Brady Hunt of Cross Lanes, WV; one great granddaughter, Ava Grace Becker of Lexington, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
