Eric Lowery

Our hearts are filled with profound sadness as we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Eric Lowery, who passed away on February 20, 2026.

Eric was born on January 25, 1976, to Jim and Karen Lowery and grew up in the Boise Valley alongside his older brother, Ryan. He graduated from Borah High School in 1994 and, in 1996, embarked on a new adventure by moving to Lewiston, Idaho, where he opened Bear Mountain Archery. During this time, Eric formed lifelong friendships and met the love of his life, Janel. They were married on July 28, 2001.

After Janel graduated from nursing school, the couple returned to the Treasure Valley and built their first home in Middleton, Idaho. Eric became a proud father in 2004 with the birth of his daughter, Taylor. He later pursued his own nursing degree, graduating in 2006, shortly after welcoming his son, Kade, in April of that year.

In 2011, the family began another chapter by moving to North Carolina for Janel’s anesthesia school. There, they developed a deep love for the ocean, boating, and fishing, spending as much time outdoors as possible. In 2013, they returned to Idaho and settled in Nampa, where they built their forever home. From that point on, Eric’s life revolved around his family and friends, and he devoted himself to teaching his children how to become amazing adults. Taylor is set to graduate from Sturm College of Law this May, and Kade is currently working at Micron while taking classes at CWI. These accomplishments filled Eric with immense pride.

Eric was truly a once-in-a-lifetime treasure. He was an incredible giver who would do anything for those he considered family and friends. He found great joy in the outdoors—hiking, camping, and hunting—where he admired the beauty God designed for all of us to enjoy. Eric believed deeply that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and the only way to achieve eternal peace. To Eric, each day was a gift and every sunrise, an opportunity for a new adventure.
