Obituary

Ernie McNaught Obituary Early in the morning, on Saturday February 22nd, at the home he had shared with his beloved Jan, Ernie McNaught quietly entered heaven. Now they are together again, enjoying an eternity side by side praising the Lord they faithfully served. Years ago, Ernie wrote down stories of his life as a young man, husband, and father, "Living at the Speed of Light". The book begins "For the Lights illumination, we are grateful. We have tried to live at the speed of light. That has been our desire. We neither desired to walk faster than light was revealed to us, nor walk slower than the gracious light brightened our path. Following the One who called himself, "The Light of the World" has been a sincere thrill and privilege". Job well done, Dad. Well done my good and faithful son. Ernie was never one to sit still for too long. His energy and passion for people and the Lord took him and his family all over the country. He never let his arthritis slow him down, figuring out creative ways to do things so he could keep creating, building, impacting, loving, serving. He was a youth pastor, senior pastor, Director of Campus Ministries with Nazarene Headquarters and Director of Church Relations at NNC. After he retired from ministry, he sold real estate, which most would say was just an extension of his ministry. He served his Lord well, faithfully spreading His love and grace. Sometime in April, the family will hold a Celebration of Life Gathering a time to come together and celebrate Ernie and Jan. In the meantime, you can honor Ernie by going to IHop with a friend and having a strawberry waffle (his favorite). Go build something. You dont need a plan, just a vision and a "wing it" philosophy. Have a Snickers bar after dinner, or maybe for dinner. Never pass up the opportunity to hold your daughters hand, kiss it and say, "I love you". Services Family to do services at later date
