Eusebio " Chiva " Fuentes, 56, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday January 5, 2012, surrounded by his family.

Eusebio was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila on April 4, 1955, to Eusebio Sr. and Francisca Cedillo. He was one of 12 children. He was raised in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The family moved to Nyssa, Oregon where he attended school. He met his wife of 35 years Maria Hernandez in the summer of 1971 and married her in 1976. Their union was blessed with 5 children and 19 grandchildren.

Eusebio and Maria made their home in Nampa. Eusebio was a hard worker and bestowed many family values to his children. He enjoyed family barbecues, gatherings, and loved to listen and dance to Tejano music. He is well-known from the Blue Eye and El Rodeo clubs and enjoyed his time with his friends. He also enjoyed time washing his truck and his wifes car and maintaining his yard and going to the gym.

He is survived by his wife Maria, and his children Eusebio III, Santos, Anna, Veronica, and Janie Fuentes. Eusebio was preceded in death by his father Eusebio Fuentes Sr., and sister Guadalupe.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, at Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, at St. Pauls Catholic Church, Nampa, with Father Gerald J. Funke as celebrant. Burial services will follow at Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
