Evelyn Emily Bowman September 10, 1927 November 1, 2016 Evelyn Emily Bowman, 85, of Nampa, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at a Nampa care facility. She was born on September 10, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Elsie Blennerhassett. She was raised and educated in Park Ridge, Illinois. In 1954 Evelyn married James Carbine and they moved to Boise in 1974; Jim passed away in May 1975. In March 1976, she married Gene Bowman and they lived in the Bowman Subdivision (Nampa, ID) for almost 40 years. They also enjoyed spending most of their winters in Yuma, Arizona. Both Evelyn and Gene loved to travel and toured much of the U.S. Wherever they lived or traveled, they delighted in all the many friends they made. In March 2015 they moved to Sunny Ridge Independent Living where her loving husband Gene died in May 2015. Surviving are three stepchildren, Jeannette Bowman (John Barnet), Charlene Elg (Harold), and Von Bowman (Suzette); five grandchildren, Jerry and Jason Sword, Reece, Brent and Bryce Bowman; three great-grandchildren Jerry Jr., Ryan and Brianna Sword; as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave S, Nampa followed by interment at Melba Cemetery.
