Evelyn Tapp Obituary Evelyn Louise Tapp, 94, of Nampa, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018. She was born on April 26, 1924 in Elm Creek, Nebraska to James and Maude Moon Crawford. The family relocated to Nampa when Evelyn was fifteen years old to a farm in the Midway area. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1942. She married Monroe Tapp on May 2, 1946 in Nampa at the Nampa First Christian Church. She has resided in Nampa for 72 years. Evelyn was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church and the Nampa Elks Lodge. She was also an avid bowler for 50 years and sang in many choirs over the years; the last being the First Christian Church. Her hobbies were crafts and needle point. She also played the piano very well. Evelyn and Monroe enjoyed taking cruises and traveling the United States. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Monroe; her stepson, Byron Tapp; her parents; a brother Wayne Crawford; and a niece Diane Crawford. She is survived by her sister in law, Beth Crawford; and her niece Darlene Barlow and her family; her caretakers Judy and Eldon Tapp and family; and numerous nieces and nephews on the Tapp Side. A special thanks is given to Judy Tapp, Streamside Assisted Living and Lighthouse Hospice for their compassion and loving care during her final days. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Nampa First Christian Church. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Nampa.
