Floyd Ayres Obituary Floyd Elgin Ayres passed away June 24, 2024 in Twin Falls, Idaho at Syringa Place. With his youngest daughter, Penny by his side. Floyd was born in Custer, South Dakota on October 27, 1926 to Gladys Phillips and James Alonzo Ayres. The family had three children, the oldest Ed, Hazel (Hardy) Ayres and Floyd was the youngest. On September 25, 1945 he reported for duty to the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany and France until he returned home on march 13, 1947 to Custer. Floyd and Hilda "Joan" Westlake were married on September 5, 1948 in Custer. To this union three children were born: Joy (Paul) Habben, Ben (Nancy) Ayres, and Penney (Dave) Walker. In 1960, they moved across the South Dakota/Wyoming border to Newcastle, Wy where Floyd spent those years. Making a bigger move in 1967 to the Flathead Valley of Montana. He was employed by Canyon Logging Company of Columbia Falls, MT for 21 years. When both Floyd and Joan retired, they moved to Nampa, ID to spend time with Floyds mother. Their two daughters and their families and numerous relatives enjoyed the blessings that came with more grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The grandchildren are Hannah (Ayres) Williams, Chris (Megan) Habben, Justin Ayres, Lindsay (Phillip Cockrill) Walker, and Lance (Lyndsay) Walker. Services Services are to be announced
