Gale Lea Obituary Gale Lea, 90, of Nampa, stepped from this earthly realm into heaven July 25, 2024. He was home with his wife, Janet by his side. He is survived by his wife Janet of 68 years of marriage, his children, Barbara, Rick, Karen, Grandchildren, Ryan, Rhonda and Issac,. his sister, Wanda and brother, Allen.
Gale was born in Boone, Colorado. Trapped and learned how to fix things with his dad while growing up. He served in the United States Army during the Korean war. Upon leaving the service he and Janet married and three kids showed up several years later. He was a certified cabinet builder, CF&I Steel foundry mold maker, McDonalds hamburger and french fry maker and cook, school district bus driver and journeyman electrician. In the evenings continued education and learned air conditioning, electrician, appliance repair. Yes he wore many fix-it hats and that enabled him to get a job at Northwest Nazarene College (now NNU) in the maintenance department.
Gale enjoyed fishing, hunting and helping people. In retirement he took oil painting lessons and gave all but a couple away. He has one displayed in the Nampa Train Museum and one displayed in the War Hawks Museum.
Gale was always known for his stories. The hospice team listened to each one and enjoyed his molasses cookies and ice cream on a stick.
Mom, Barb and I cant thank the Saint Lukes Hospice team enough for their kindness and attentiveness to Dad and their support to Mom.
