George Mendiola Obituary George Mario Mendiola, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, in Boise, Idaho. Born on September 10, 1952, in Torrington, Wyoming, George lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. He was 72.
George was preceded in death by his father Frank and mother Beatrice Mendiola. Loving pets Liz, Chief and Buddy. He lived in a household that laid the foundation for the man he would becomeone defined by his generosity, humor, and unwavering strength. He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1971.
George is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Mendiola, of Nampa, Idaho. Together, they built a beautiful family, including their children Shannon Tippin, Mona Apodaca, Jako Apodaca (Teresa), Joseph Apodaca, and Christine Noyce (Darrell). George is also survived by his sister, Diane Shaul (Al), and his two brothers, Frank and Robert Mendiola. His legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored and cherished deeply. George's beloved dog, Skyler Mendiola, was a constant companion by his side, providing comfort and joy.
Georges life was a tapestry woven with love and shared experiences. For many years, George worked in the meat packing industry, where he held various management positions until his retirement. His compassion extended beyond his professional life, as he dedicated his time to driving a special needs school bus for the Caldwell School District. This work exemplified his caring nature and commitment to serving others, particularly those who needed it most. An avid sports fan, George was a die-hard supporter of the Boise State Broncos, and he carried this passion with him until the end. He enjoyed the great outdoors, indulging in fishing, boating, and hunting. He had a talent for cooking from barbecuing to his love of making tamales, sharing these culinary delights with family and friends. His hobbies of motocross, fly tying, and reloading ammunition showcased his adventurous spirit and zest for life.
Above all, Georges character was defined by his humor and warmth. He had a way of making those around him feel loved and appreciated, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a man of many traitsa true jack-of-all-tradeswhose spirit touched the lives of countless individuals.
George Mario Mendiola will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, George. Your laughter, love, and memory will forever resonate and live on in our lives.
