Gerald (Jerry) Glen Labrum 73 of Nampa passed away Saturday March 12, 2012.Born November 28, 1938 in Twin Falls Id, Full of life from day one, Jerry was a loving husband to Nellie Elnora Labrum for over thirty years. His love and wisdom he passed on to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bradford (Daughter DeEtte) granddaughters Jordan and Jacklyn. Mr. and Mrs. Vic Victorino (Daughter Brenda) grandsons Mona, Kehula and Tye. Mr. and Mrs. Trimbo (Daughter Joni) son Brett. Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Labrum (son) and Wife Alison. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Irwin (son) wife Dena (grandchildren) Ricky jr., Autumn and Ryan. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Akers (Daughter Tina) grandchildren Amanda and Jeff. Also 8 great grandchildren. Mr. & Mrs. Labrum (Brother Dennis and wife Carolyn), Debbie & Denise (neices). Jerry was an active member of the Elks for 45 years. He was a fore founder of the Nampa Alano Club and continued his recovery for 30 years. He owned and operated Dales Radiator Shop for 44 yrs before retiring in 2004. He also owned a motorcycle shop for 8 years. He loved the great outdoors fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He was a member of the First Christian Church for 20 yrs. He loved drinking coffee with the guys on Tuesdays and talking about who was going to the Dr. next. Jerry had a wonderful music career starting in High School in Nampa. His first band was called The Down Beats, then The Fireballs, Then the Blue Notes and Finally Paul Revere and the Raiders. He also played on the Grand Old Opry. As he leaves this earth, his dog (Freckles) a longtime companion will accompany him on his journey to Gods house. He was proceeded in death by his Father, Mother, Brother, Daughter and Son. His family would like to give sincere thanks to the staff at Saint Als Nampa. And Dr. Roan and Home health care givers Larken and Heather. The family will greet friends and relatives at a viewing and reception on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A Funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday March 16, 2012 at the Nampa First Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Meridian Cemetery.
