IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gerald "Tom" Dean
Ingram
February 7, 1935 – November 28, 2025
Tom lost his battle with cancer on November 28, 2025, at home peacefully.
Tom was born to Charles and Nettie Ingram on February 7, 1935, along with his twin sister, Dee Dee. He was the last of eleven children. He grew up in Vale, Oregon on the family ranch, went through school in Vale and before the end of his senior year he chose to join the army. Tom served in Germany from 1953 until 1956 when he returned to Vale and went to work on the Barlow's farm for a few years.
On May 24, 1958, Tom married the love of his life, Joan Marie Page. Shortly after they moved to Boise, Idaho, where Tom started working at Idaho Food Product. After several years there they moved to Eugene, Oregon to be closer to Dee Dee. 14 months later they returned back to Boise where he worked his way up from a warehouse foreman to a food purchaser at General Foods and Supply.
Tom and Joan went on to have two children, son Randy (Janie) of Boise and daughter, Becky of Middleton, Idaho. Tom was a proud grandfather to Hayley and Josh (Allison) and great grandpa to Kingston. In 1990 Tom and Joan moved to Middleton to enjoy their retirement years. Tom enjoyed that time by hunting, fishing, bowling, clay shooting, camping and sharing stories with his family. He also enjoyed raising a couple of cows over the years to remind him of his younger days.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife Joan, his parents and all of his siblings. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and extensive amount of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral at Valley View Cemetery in Vale, Oregon at 3p.m. Tuesday December 9,2025.
