Obituary

Glen Malone Humiston passed away on April 18, 2014 in his sleep with his wife by his side.

Glen was born in Purdy, Missouri on January 21, 1933 to Harold and Frances Humiston. As a young child, he moved with his family to Kuna, Idaho. While at Kuna High School, he won a contest to draw the Kuna Kaveman mascot. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. He spent time in Guam and was discharged honorably. He took a job as a surveyor where he helped build Brownlee Dam and many of the roads we now use. While a surveyor, he met Sandra Hendry. They were married in Elko, Nevada on March 10, 1961. They started a family and bought a farm in Melba, Idaho where they farmed for 50 years. They had a dairy herd and he worked at the sugar beet factory during winter months.

Glen was a hardworking, caring, fair and loving person. He was a great man who valued family life. He enjoyed the outdoors. Hunting and fishing with his wife and children were things he truly loved. He recently purchased a new boat for more adventures. Taxidermy was a favorite hobby as well.

Glen is survived by his loving wife, Sandra, his daughter Sandy (Randy) McCoy, son Todd (Anna) Humiston, grandsons Heath McCoy and Caimen Lopez. Glen was grateful for all of his family, friends, and neighbors help, especially Heaths.
