Obituary

Glenda Duggan Obituary Glenda Mae Duggan, the daughter of F. Glen Wardlaw and Mary Wardlaw, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus, on October 9, 2023, at the age of 66. She is survived by her husband, Michael Duggan, her daughter and son-in-law Katherine and Ratko Anicic Duggan, and their son, Konstantin, and her son and his fiance, Christopher Duggan and Catharine Fultz. She is also survived by her sister Carol Poe and twin brother Steven Wardlaw. In her work, Glendas goal was to do what she was born to do: teach! To that end, Glenda attended Northwest Nazarene College and received a B.A. in Education (1980) and Boise State University to receive a M.A. in Education (1986). From 1980 until 1985, she worked as the director of the Childrens Program at Community of Hope, an inner-city social service agency and church affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene. From 1985 to 1986 she worked as a nanny in Paris, caring for a child with Cerebral Palsy. Upon returning to the States, she taught high school French at Meridian High School for a year and English and French at Jefferson Junior High School in Caldwell for two years. She met Michael Duggan at a meeting of Bread for the World, a Christian citizen lobby advocating for the poor. Several years later, when Michael came to his senses, they were married. Before he did, Glenda returned to Paris in 1990, where she worked with Nazarenes in Volunteer Service providing, among other services, Bible studies for children and teens. Absence made the heart grow fonder, and during this time, Michaels love for Glenda awakened. After Glenda and Michael married, they welcomed their daughter Katherine in 1995 and their son Chrisopher in 1997. She attentively cared for them at home until they went off to school. She worked as an adjunct professor at Northwest Nazarene University (1992 2014), a French, Speech, and English teacher at Liberty Charter School in Nampa (2003 2014), and a French teacher at Caldwell High School (2014 2022). God not only created Glenda to teach, He created in her a love for Him and a desire to serve Him by loving others. This love manifested itself in many ways: insisting that her family members take "beauty breaks," to look at a sunset or rainbow; being there for Michael, Katherine, and Christopher during good times and hard times; teaching and working with children of all ages and backgrounds; and enjoying the beauty of others, whether a much-loved friend or a stranger in the store. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 11, 2023 at noon at Crossroads Community Church in Nampa. Services Celebration of Life Saturday November 11, 2023 12:00 PM Crossroads community church 4170 East Amity Avenue Nampa, ID 83687
