Obituary

Glenn Moldenhauer Obituary Glenn Moldenhauer, 73, of Nampa, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 6, 2024 after a courageous battle with vascular dementia. Glenn was dearly loved by his wife, Lavada, his family, and friends. Glenn was born on July 16, 1950 to Reuben D. and Viola Moldenhauer in Nampa, Idaho at Mercy Hospital. Glenn would spend part of his youth living in Canada, before his family moved to Sun Valley, California. Glenn would go on to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1973 and then return to Nampa to start his career as a chiropractor. For over 40 years, Glenn owned and operated Chiropractic Center in Nampa, where he provided relief to thousands of patients. Glenn was proud of his service as a reserve officer with the City of Nampa Police Department and Boise County Sheriffs Department. Glenn also loved riding motorcycles and was a past member of Road Riders for Jesus, where he would eventually be introduced to Lavada. Lavada rode a Shadow, and Glenn rode his prized Goldwing. Lavada would eventually join Glenn on the Goldwing, and Glenn and Lavada married on June 1, 2007. Glenn loved travelling and camping, as well as spending time with Lavada in the Owyhee Desert riding trails in their Polaris RZR. Glenn also thoroughly loved his German Shepherd, Snowball. Until Glenn was unable to regularly attend Sunday services, Glenn and Lavada were faithful members of Grace Bible Church, where Glenn also volunteered on the security team. Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Lavada Moldenhauer, of over 16 years; his brother Arnie (Judie) Moldenhauer of Springfield, Missouri; his daughter Sharene Campbell of Middleton, Idaho and her children Braden and Ashley; and Lavadas children, Eric (Bristi) Gipe of Sulphur, Louisiana and Andrew (Diana) Gipe and their daughters Lilyana, Gianna, and Elsie of Troy, Michigan. Glenn took great pride in being "Papa" to his grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Brandi-Lynn. Glenn loved to read Scripture. One of his life verses was Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct your paths." And Glenn lived out that verse, trusting God every step of the way. Glenn knew the love that is described in 1 Corinthians 13, and he was compassionate, kind, patient, and selfless. Glenn was a mentor to many and was grateful for the men of God in his life who encouraged him in his Christian walk. A Bible verse which further exemplifies Glenns life is 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the Faith." The family would like to thank the medical staff in the telemetry department at St. Lukes Hospital in Nampa that assisted in caring for Glenn, as well as Dr. Weiss for the care he provided to Glenn over the last several years. The family would also like to thank the friends and family who were supportive and loved Glenn in the final stages of his life.
