Glenna 'June' Sirkel Obituary Glenna June Sirkel, retired nurse, 83, of Nampa, passed away peacefully, on July 31, 2022. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel in Nampa on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. A Celebration of Moms life gathering will follow at the Eagle Lodge, 118 11th Ave. N., Nampa Idaho at 1:00 P.M. August 10, 2022. Services are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel where an online guestbook is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com Glenna who most often went by June; was born on September 25, 1938, in Brownfield, Texas, the daughter of Herman Howard Fore and Lena Lou Carter. She was born on a dairy farm during the great depression. This helped instill her hard work ethic, and love of animals which persisted most of her life. Jeff Sirkel and June were married in 1955 and traveled the world together as part of Jeffs military service in the US Navy and in the Air Force. They traveled every two years throughout Jeffs enlistment for 22 years, eventually settling in Nampa, where they remained. Junes Girl Scout life began shortly after her daughters were able to participate and became a major part of her lifes service to others. Helping at Jubilation or directing the Camp Alice Pittenger site committee in McCall, ID for nearly 20 years. She was a troop leader for many years beyond her own daughters being in a troop. June was also known as being a master trainer for new troop leaders. June worked the night shift as an LPN nurse @ the VA Home in Boise for 22 years, providing comfort to infirmed service members, finally retiring when she was 73. Her passions for gardening lead to her obtaining a Master Gardener level which is evident to anyone visiting the backyard of her home. June is survived by her daughter and son in law, Tami and Fred Bergen; her daughter and son in law, Terri and David Mudd; her son and daughter in law, Jeff and Maja Sirkel; her daughter Tracie Sirkel; and her son and daughter in law, Troy and Gena Sirkel; her grandchildren; Karina and her husband Daniel, Max, Zackary, Matthew, Dylan, Brent and his wife Tierra, and Millie; her great grandchildren, Tyler and Jace. Her parents, brothers, husband of 61 years, daughter and two granddaughters preceded her in death. Junes family was always her main focus in her life. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Girl Scouts of Silver Sage campership fund or contribute to a memorial bench that will be placed in Junes favorite spot at Camp Pittenger.
