Goldie Stringer Obituary Goldie M. Blain Stringer, 94, of Nampa, was born July 10,1927 to John W. Blain and Maudena McDermed in Walnut, Kansas. Goldie married James H. Stringer on May 4, 1946, in Columbus, Kansas and they were together for 55 years.
In 1954 the couple moved to Weiser, Idaho, where Goldie found employment at Western Auto. The family moved in 1962 to Nampa where Goldie went to work for the Coast to Coast store. From 1965 1991 she worked at Karcher Mall with Tempo, JC Penneys and Emporium. From Nampa the couple moved to Marsing and Goldie started working for the Marsing Senior Center and then Marsing City Hall.
Goldie is survived by her daughter Carol Sue (Jim) Davenport of Vale, Oregon and son Jay Dee (Jody) Stringer of Parma, Idaho, six grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband James, sister Mary Lou Wilson and grandson Michael Stringer.
The family would like to thank Parma Living Center for the love and care they gave Goldie during her time with them.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel where an online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
