Harriett Shenk Obituary Harriett Nancy Shenk, 89 of Nampa, passed away on August 24, 2021 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Caldwell. She was born to Guy & Ruth Shank on November 1, 1931 in Filer, Idaho. She married David Shenk on November 6, 1949 and they were married for 71 years. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and cherished her husband and children by embracing every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma and showed it by babysitting and spending quality time with her grandchildren. From an early age, she was involved in teaching childrens Sunday School, and singing in the church choir. Harriett is survived by her husband; children Myron Shenk (wife Sylvia), Joyce Jones (husband Neil), Donna Thompson (husband Dan), Carolyn Keen (husband Damon), and Pamela Shenk; 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and sister Irene Ross (husband Dean). She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harry (her twin), Clayton and Harold, and granddaughter Jennifer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30th at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. 208-442-8171. Burial will follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery. The family will greet loved ones and friends for a time of visitation on Sunday, August 29th from 2:00 4:00 PM at the Nampa Funeral Home.
