Helen Louise Horgos LaFleur, 67, of Nampa, Idaho passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. Helen was born Nov 10, 1944 in Clairton, PA to Paul Michael Horgos and Irene Kathryn (Chovan) Horgos. She grew up with five siblings. She graduated from Clairton High School in Clairton, PA. As a young adult, she moved to California for a time before settling in Nampa with her new husband Robert "Bob" LaFleur. Helen and Bob had three children. As a young adult, Helen was employed as a bank teller for several years. She then worked at the Nampa Post Office as a rural delivery carrier for 30 years before her retirement. Helen enjoyed reading mystery novels, playing Canasta with her best friend and family, Boise State Football and spending time outside doing yard work and home project improvements. She also really enjoyed her trips to the Hawaiian Islands which she was fortunate to take on several occasions with her friends and family.
Helen is survived by her former husband, Robert LaFleur; her three children, Troy LaFleur of Billings, MT, Scott LaFleur of Nampa, and Shawna and (Tracy) Alberts of Nampa; two grandchildren Tyler and Cory Alberts, and one great grandchild, Jayden Alberts. She is also survived by three siblings, Ed and (Phyllis) Horgos of Westminster, MD; John and (Ardonna) Horgos of Orestes, IN; and Joan Kuczler of West Newton, PA as well as various other relatives.
Helen was preceded by her Mother and Father and two brothers, Raymond and Paul.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel.
