IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ingeborg Grete
Bibb
December 4, 1936 – October 19, 2025
Ingeborg Grete Bibb was born on 12/04/1936 in Darmstadt, Germany, to Karl and Erna Herrmann. She had two younger brothers, Vanna and Dieter. Ingeborg grew up on the family farm during WWII and later became an au pair in England. She became fluent in English and studied to become a secretary. She was hired to work in a military office for the U.S. Air Force. On the air base in Wiesbaden, Germany, she met her future husband, Staff Sargent Willie Bibb. They were married on the same base in Wiesbaden, on October 29, 1965.
Ingeborg and Willie had four children together, a son, Andreas Xavier, and three daughters, Rebecca Christine, Rita Dorothea, and Catherine Aileen. Their 3 oldest children were born in Weisbaden, and the youngest was born in Lakenheath, England. Inge, an Air Force wife for 20 years, went on to share the military and travel life with Willie at Luke AFB in Arizona, Royal AFB Alconbury in England, and Mountain Home AFB in Idaho, where Willie later retired. They then moved their family of six to Boise, Idaho.
Inge's hobbies and interests included cross-country walking, winning many first-place ribbons, and physical fitness. She had a professional-level green thumb and always had abundant vegetable, fruit, and flower gardens. She raised award-winning African Violets and a variety of roses. She loved her life and home on Stardust Drive.
Inge made many friends over the years and was always described as a "sweet lady" and a smart, strong woman who told many fascinating stories. She loved and honored her German roots and incorporated her culture into her family.
Inge's homegoing was October 19, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and her only son.
Ingeborg Bibb is survived by her three daughters, and their husbands and partner; Rebecca & Al Harmon, Rita Edwards & Brian Harter, Catherine Scown & Dodi Hardwick, 11 grandchildren; Luke, Emily, Hillary, Kevin, Derek, Dakota, Savannah, Parker, Tristan, Aliyah and Amarie, and 12 great-grandchildren.
