Ira Norman "Norm" Dalton, 73, of Nampa, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 in a Boise hospital. Norm was born November 13, 1939 in Nampa, Idaho to Ira and Elsie Dalton. He was raised and educated in Nampa. After high school, he joined the US Army and was stationed in Europe. He worked as a long haul truck driver for many years until his retirement in 2001. He married Shagaye Matthews March 12, 1967 and they spent 46 wonderful years together. Norm enjoyed rodeos, reading western books, watching John Wayne movies, and never missed an airing of the PBR. Norm was a kind and caring man and always put his family first. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dale Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Shagaye; three children, Mike, Tauni and Kristi; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. At his request, no services will be held.
