Isabel M. Eiguren, 88 of Arock, Oregon, died peacefully on August 14, 2011 in Nampa, Idaho. Isabel Margaret was born on April 21, 1923 in South Mountain, Idaho to Galo and Isabel Mendieta. She was the tenth of thirteen children. Isabel attended school at South Mountain Grade School and Burns and Jordan Valley, Oregon High Schools. After graduation from high school she attended college in La Grande and worked as a secretary at a shipyard in Portland, Oregon during WWII. On October 10, 1943 she married Fred R. Eiguren. They made their home and living ranching in Arock. Isabel and Fred were blessed with eight children, 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children Kathleen Mendiola, Richard (Margene Gabica) Eiguren, Elizabeth (Fermin) Bilbao, Christina (Ron) Rhoades, Maria Teresa (Steve) Dugger, Frances (Charlie) Cortez, Fred J. (Kristie Kolbaba) Eiguren, Anita (Doyle) Gellerman. A brother Lazaro 'Las' Mendieta and a sister Benita 'Bennie' Anderson. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred R. Eiguren, son-in-law Justo Mendiola, great-grand daughter Jacqueline Moffis and her parents Galo and Isabel, her sisters: Vicenta 'Bea' Jaca, Mildred 'Millie' Ugalde, Victoria Martina Mendieta, Eloise Smith, Mercedes 'Markie' Gearhart, Mary Parker, Emma Albisu, her brothers Galo, Santiago 'Santy', and Anthony 'Tony' Mendieta. Funeral services will be in Jordan Valley, Oregon under the direction of Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel. Services will include: A Rosary Vigil at 7:00pm on Sunday, August 21st and Funeral Mass and Burial at 4:30pm on Monday, August 22nd at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Jordan Valley, Oregon. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church in Arock or St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Jordan Valley.
