It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jacob Dean Peterson, who departed this life on June 23, 2025, at the age of 28.

Jacob Dean Peterson was born in Boise, Idaho, on October 1, 1996. He graduated from Kuna High School in 2015. Jake worked as a machine operator for the Boise Projects Board of Control for the State of Idaho for 8 years. Jake had a deep love for collecting coins, collecting guns, shooting, restoring his old Ford truck, hunting, restoring machinery, and blowing shit up. His kindness, humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had an unshakeable spirit and a quiet strength that inspired those around him. Whether it was through his work, his passions, or the way he always showed up for the people he loved, Jake left the world better than he found it. He approached life with a sense of wonder and authenticity that drew people to him. He was the kind of person who lent a hand without being asked. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered!

Jake is survived by his parents, Mark and Tammy Peterson, his brother, Zack Peterson, and sister-in- law, Patience Peterson, his sister, Amanda Peterson (niece Abigail Peterson). His grandmothers, Teresa Tawney and Beverly Peterson. Who will carry his memories in their hearts forever. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will endure for generations. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Including his best friend Zak Moffat.

Jake Peterson is preceded in death by his Grandfather Dean Peterson, Grandfather Joe Tawney, and his aunt Terry Ann Tawney.

The celebration of life will be held at his parents' house on July 4th, 2025, at 12:00. All who knew Jake are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. Potluck following the celebration of life ceremony. Please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert. The main course will be provided.
