Jacqueline (Jackie) Vaughan, 75, of Nampa, Idaho passed away at her home on Monday, February 27, 2012. Jackie was born June 30, 1936 to William Vern (Jack) Aughe and Viola Moore Aughe. Jackie attended school in Lincoln, NE. She eloped with her sweetheart Elgan Ray Vaughan November 21, 1951. They lived in California and Nevada, spent several years in Vale, Oregon, Payette, Idaho and Emmett, Idaho. They lived in Washington for a time and eventually moved back to Idaho, settling in Meridian before Elgans death in 1996. They had seven children, Elgan Bryan, Alan Duane, Jeanette Delrae, Barbara Arlene, Sandra Allene, Randall Mark and Daniel Eric. Together Elgan & Jackie worked in cub scouts, boy scouts, brownies, girl scouts, 4-H, child evangelism and many other kid related activities. Jackie learned to play the rhythm guitar to join Elgan in his dream of having a country western band, The Ramblers. Together with their sons joining them at various times they entertained folks in a variety of venues. Jackie was an AVON lady for over 30 years and had received many awards during her career. She also won a cruise to the Bahamas for her and Elgan, which was one of her fondest memories. Her loyal AVON customers were an important part of her life and she was preparing to deliver AVON packages up to her very last day. Until a few years ago, Jackie was an avid bowler and had traveled to numerous bowling tournaments enjoying the company of good friends and winning many awards. She belonged to several civic organizations and held the highest office in each. She wasnt one to sit by and let others do all the work. She was a "people" person and loved to stay busy. Her days were filled with thoughts of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She was concerned for and loved each and every one of them. She was preceded in death by her husband Elgan and three of her sons, Bryan, Duane, and Randy. She missed them and talked about them often. A public viewing with family in attendance will be held from 4:00pm 7:00pm Thursday, March 1st and funeral services will be held Friday, March 2nd at 11:00am. Both services will be held at Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho. Burial will be held in the Meridian Cemetery.
