James passed away peacfully in his sleep with his wife Alice by his side on April 9, 2012. He was 67 years old.Jim was born June 2, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Harry and Harriett Patton. Jim served in the Army from July 1965 and was honorably discharged in July 1971. During his service he was honored with Soldier of the Month while stationed at Fort Irwian, Ca. From there was stationed in Germany. After his active duty in the Army, he met and married Alice Jean on May 11, 1969. They raised three children together, Kathleen, Steven and Michael. Jim worked in management for a graphic arts supply company for 33 years before retireing in 2003. He and Alice moved in December of 2003 from Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca. to Nampa, Idaho. Jim is servived by his wife Alice, a daughter Kathleen Wilber, sons Steven and Michael, brothers Lee, Tom, Doug, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday April 13 at Nampa Funeral Home in Nampa Idaho. Burial will follow at the Idaho State Veterans Cenetery
