Jane A. Wagner, 91, of Boise, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in a Boise retirement center. She was born on July 9, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Mary Mason Gleason. She was raised and educated in Illinois and graduated from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois with a degree in library science. She worked as Command Librarian in Great Britain for the United Stated Air Force and she established the engineering library for Texas Water Development Board in Austin, Texas. She was also the librarian for the Texas Air Control Board in Austin.
She married Joseph C. Wagner in 1951 in Germany. They lived in Texas until 1983 when they moved to California. Joseph preceded her in death in 2008 and Jane moved to Idaho to be near her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jacqueline and Michael Collins of Nampa; a sister, Dorothy Freeman of Lombard, IL; grandchildren, Tim and his wife, Amalia, Devin, Anna, Sister Rose Miriam and Andrew; and one great grandson, Elton.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at St. Pauls Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will be held in the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
