Obituary

Janessa Roberts Obituary Janessa Marie Roberts was born on January 14, 2004 in Salem, Oregon and entered the gates of heaven surrounded by friends and family on November 18, 2023. Although her time here on Earth with us was short, she lived life big and left an impression on everyone she met. Janessas mom will never forget the day she met her and her brother Simon in Salem on 10/24/2004. She had big, blue, curious eyes and a full head of beautiful brown, curly hair. Six months later, she began her life in Fruitland, Idaho and the adoption was finalized on December 29, 2005. Although she was a daddys girl when she was a little girl, she was definitely her mommas Mini Me and took pride in that. She loved when people told her "You look exactly like your mom" because she loved seeing the looks on their faces when she told them she was adopted. Janessa was smart, fierce, determined, stubborn, kind, loving and had a heart of gold. She had a special place in her heart for the less fortunate and loved working with special needs adults and kids. She worked with a group of adults with special needs for a few months and that was truly where she shined. She told her mom she found purpose in that job and loved the clients. Although her teenage years were really tough, she graduated high school six months early and stayed diligent in working on herself. She learned to trust her mom and step-dad to help keep her safe and had made significant progress in understanding her needs and creating skills to support them. The relationship with her mom and Brad was solid and she knew she had more than her mom in her corner. She was a lover of animals, especially the ones that grossed her mom out. Spiders, snakes and lizards were often talked about, but her love of dogs topped it all. She is sorely missed by Peyton and Leia, her 4-legged siblings, who will miss her big hugs and floor cuddles. Janessa discovered she loved hockey games and looked forward to games this coming season with her Mom. She loved makeup and spent hours watching YouTube and creating elaborate make-up designs. Her make-up was flawless when she was admitted to the hospital and her cousin Mollee reminded her mom that she would have loved knowing her brows were perfect. She loved exploring new skin care and haircare products and loved sharing her "curls" with her mom when she found a new, amazing product. Janessa looked forward to shooting pumpkins with her Step-dad Brad and loved her iced coffee time with her mom. She loved exploring new restaurants with her brother Braden and recently started sharing her love of Nu Metal with her brother Bryce. She loved playing What do you Meme with Simon and Skarlet and she couldnt wait until the next time she saw her sister Kylie and nephew Bubba. Janessa is survived by Parents: Brad & Lisa Cain and Tony Roberts. Siblings: Simon Roberts, Braden Cain, Bryce Cain, Kylie Roberts and Tugger Roberts.
