Jess F. Little, 62 of Nampa died Wednesday July 17, 2013 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and loved ones. Jess was the fourth child of Preston and Pauline Little, born on August 23, 1950 in Boise, Idaho. Jess grew-up in the Boise valley and attended Eagle Jr. High and graduated from Meridian High school. On June 28, 1969 Jess married his high school sweetheart, Vickie Wilmot in a private ceremony in Boise. In June of 1972 Jess went to work at the Nampa Post Office as a city carrier and worked there until his retirement in 2007. While at the post office Jess made friends with two special people, Gene Zurcher and Harry Geschke. Through this friendship they had many outings and adventures. Jess especially enjoyed the Monday night football game under the stars with a campfire burning and attending BSU basketball games. While on his trips to Cleveland to visit family of his friend Harry, he got to attend several major league baseball games at different stadiums across the United States. Jess enjoyed hunting and fishing, bowling, collecting stamps, gardening, and woodworking, reading and babysitting his grandkids after he retired. Jess was an avid BSU Bronco fan. In the fall of 2012 Jess and Vickie got to achieve their life long dream of driving across the United States and seeing the fall colors in the New England states. Jess was preceded in death by his parents, brother Marly and sister Sandra. His wife Vickie of Nampa survives him, sons Jason and Stacey Little of Nampa and Justin and Michelle Little of Meridian, 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Mitchell, Athena, Seth and Addison and sister Sue Graham.
