Jesus Ibarra, 90, died peacefully in his sleep Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Kindred Health Care Center in Caldwell, Idaho. Jesus had lived there for the last decade as was cared for by their companionate staff, which includes his devoted niece, Rosie Guevara.

Jesus was born on May 30, 1922 in Bryan, Texas to Jose and Maria Ibarra. Jesus married Margarita (Menchaca) and they had eight children together; Jose, Oscar, (twins) Dora and Juanita, Cesar, Jesus Jr., Rolando and Jerry. They raised their family in the San Antonio, Texas area until moving to Nampa, Idaho in the early seventies.

Jesus loved to travel and saw much of the country he was proud to call his own. He would often say that he knew his grandchild would grow up and serve their country as members of its armed forces. And many of them did; Jose Jr. Ibarra, Oscar Jr. Ibarra, Ray Ibarra, Cynthia Ibarra, Rolando Jr. Ibarra, and Philip Ibarra. They all made him very proud.

Jesus will be greatly missed.

He leaves his son and daughter in law, Jose and Mary Ibarra; son, Oscar Ibarra and his companion Patty; his daughter, Dora Elia Ibarra; his son and daughter in law Roland and Silvia Ibarra; his son and daughter in law Jerry and Dora Alicia Ibarra and his sisters Lupe Perez and Sipre Yzquierdo, countless grandchildren, great grandchildren and a few great- great grandchildren.

His parents Jose and Mary, sons Cesar and Jesus Jr., his daughter Juniata and few beloved grandchildren, precede him in death.

A vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the St. Pauls Catholic Church, Nampa. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
