Devoted Husband, Father, Papa, Great Grandfather, and Nino. Jimmie was born to Helen Armijo and Jose Donaciano Herrera, in Pueblo, Colorado. Jimmie was raised by Helen and Lewis Apodaca in Alviso, California. Jimmie was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965 and was awarded a Purple Heart for his time served during the Vietnam War. While cruising downtown San Jose in his 59' Chevy Impala one unforgettable summer night, Jimmie met and fell in love with Mary R. Dominguez, who he married in 1966. They welcomed two children to complete their family. Jimmie attended San Jose City College and worked as a check printer. He relocated his family to Idaho in 1980 where he continued check printing, was a landlord of several properties, and briefly worked as a janitor until he retired. Jimmie loved to fish and decorate his yard, and proudly wore his Purple Heart ball cap. He especially loved when strangers thanked him for his service or picked up his tab at restaurants. Jimmie was a lifelong fan of the Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Lewis Apodaca, and Jose Herrera; brothers Edward, Roy, and Tony; sisters, Juanita Dorado and Lillie Apodaca; and the love of his life, Mary. Jimmie is survived by his brother, Tom; sisters, Mable Vallier, Louise Soliz, Mary Helen Cabaccang, and Susan Barrett; his son, Jimmie, and daughter, Lisa Warren; grandchildren, Jace, Sara, and Mattison; and great grandchildren, Kade, Mateo, and Daniella.
