Joan Louise Silvas found peace January 12th, 2026, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Yoakum, Texas to Benjamin and Lena Day on August 9th, 1941. Joan was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother, as well as a retiree of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
After retiring, Joan traveled the United States by motorhome with her husband Vince, before settling in Nampa to spend her golden years. During retirement Joan loved spending time in her garden, visiting with family and friends, volunteering at St. Lukes Medical Center and attending Sunday Services at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa.
Joan is survived by her sister Kathleen Cook, sons Jerald, Jimmy, Jon, and Joey, 4 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and her dear friend Susan Bacon.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, April 17th, 2026, at 11 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 510 W. Roosevelt Ave, Nampa, ID. Private Inurnment will take place at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
